American Ultraviolet DC Series UVC Fixture
By American Ultraviolet
The DC Series from American Ultraviolet delivers powerful UVC energy inside HVAC ducts to disinfect moving air before it reaches occupied spaces. These high-output germicidal fixtures are designed to improve indoor air quality in sensitive areas while reducing microbial buildup on coils, drain pans, and ductwork. Ideal for healthcare, labs, and commercial facilities, the DC Series supports both air and surface disinfection with minimal maintenance.
Features
- High-Output UVC Air Disinfection: DC Series fixtures use high-output UVC lamps to neutralize airborne pathogens in supply or return ducts. This “fly-by” disinfection reduces the microbial load before air recirculates, creating safer environments in high-risk or high-occupancy buildings.
- Versatile Mounting Configurations: Available in two- or four-lamp options, DC Series fixtures can be installed singly or in banks to span supply ducts, cooling coils, drain pans, and more. External access to lamps and electronics allows for easy service without disrupting ductwork.
- Long-Lasting, Low-Mercury Lamps: "Green" low-pressure lamps contain ≤8 mg of mercury and maintain consistent output with only a 20% reduction over two years—supported by a full two-year lamp warranty and a five-year non-prorated ballast warranty.
- Continuous Coil and Plenum Cleaning: By irradiating coils, pans, and plenums 24/7, the DC Series eliminates biofilm buildup, reducing the need for chemical cleaning programs and improving HVAC efficiency by restoring heat transfer and airflow capacity.
