The SAM Haz Loc (Hazardous Location) fan filter unit delivers certified clean air in areas with flammable gases, chemical vapors, or other explosive conditions. Designed to meet AMCA Type B standards, it combines high-efficiency filtration with explosion-proof components for safety-critical cleanroom environments in pharmaceutical, industrial, or specialty manufacturing settings.

  • Explosion-Proof Construction: The SAM Haz Loc is built to AMCA Type B standards, incorporating spark-resistant aluminum blower wheels and explosion-rated electrical components to safely operate in environments with flammable or hazardous airborne materials. It meets critical safety requirements without compromising airflow performance or efficiency.
  • High-Efficiency Filtration: Equipped with a HEPA filter rated at 99.99% efficiency on 0.3 micron particles, or an optional ULPA filter rated at 99.9995% on 0.12 micron particles, the SAM Haz Loc provides advanced particulate filtration. All filters are individually tested and certified to meet IEST or ISO cleanroom standards.
  • Service-Friendly Design: GS-style models include a hinged anodized aluminum grille with precision-cut perforations that opens from the room side. This allows maintenance teams to replace the HEPA or ULPA filter without removing the unit from the ceiling, reducing downtime and minimizing cleanroom disruption during routine service.
  • Durable Construction: Fabricated from powder-coated steel, the unit is built for strength and long-term chemical resistance. Welded nut inserts at each corner allow for field installation of eyebolts for easy ceiling suspension. The finish resists corrosion and is designed to withstand tough industrial or laboratory environments.
